Nate West, host of the Y101 Showgram with Nate and Murphy, has a goal every morning. That goal is to wake up everybody bright and early! He has a lot of fun with his co-host, Tim Murphy as they inform listeners on the world of entertainment. His love for music and trying to make people laugh is why he has been apart of Y101 off and on for 15 years.

10 Things You Didn’t Know about Nate from Y101:
1. He was once the youngest DJ in Mississippi on the radio at age 16.
2. He went to school with Clinton native Lance Bass (formerly of N’SYNC.)
3. He won the Jackson District Spelling Bee in the 4th grade and attended the State Spelling Bee.
4. Supposedly, he is a distant cousin of the country singer, Marty Stuart.
5. His most prized possession is an autographed Eli Manning NY Giants hat.
6. He played the trumpet in his school band from 7th to 9th grade.
7. His favorite shows are Law and Order: SVU, Storage Wars, American Pickers, King of Queens, and House M.D.
8. His first job was a Bag Boy at Kroger.
9. He’s a big Elvis Presley fan.
10. One of his biggest dreams came true when he got to talk to THE Betty White who quickly, but in a nice way, let him go. He called her home number and she didn’t care for that too much.
