How To Pair The 2012 Honda Civic Bluetooth

December 10th, 2011 by

Pairing the 2012 Honda Civics Bluetooth for hands-free phone calls has never been easier, once you see how it is done. All that is needed is your approved cellular device and some music on your phone for streaming audio, allowing you to use your mobile phone with the hands-free profile without taking your eyes off the road or hands off the wheel. If you’ve paired your device before you know how easy it is.  If this is your first time don’t worry you will find the process painless.  It’s only a matter of having your phone’s Bluetooth turned on and your device discoverable and then pressing the PHONE button on the steering wheel.

Watch Ben Skirtech, our Honda Certified Master Tech show you the pairing process on both the iPhone and HTC in the video below.

This system has voice recognition capability that will store up to 50 contacts per phone within the system. Certain phones with phonebook export capability may transfer their entire contact list into the system’s memory (up to 1,000 names and 10,000 phone numbers) which can be password-protected for extra security. A list of compatible phones can be found at handsfreelink.honda.com. You will also be able to stream audio from your Bluetooth device directly to the audio system. Just as easy as changing the radio you will be able to change tracks with the steering wheel-mounted controls, not all phones are compatible.
