You’ve probably heard his name around town and seen his drawings in the Clarion Ledger, but now you can get a closer look into Marshall Ramsey’s life. We sat down with him and found out more about his career, being a radio host, a father and also a Patty Peck Honda friend and customer.

Marshall has been drawing cartoons for 15 years! “It’s not work. It’s drawing cartoons,” says Ramsey. He began his journey in college and it turned into a career, and a fun one at that. He’s always loved politics and drawing, and also writes short stories, blogs, comedy and jokes. Visit Marshall’s blog at marshallramsey.com.

Ramsey is also a radio host on Super Talk. He’s been apart of this statewide, FM radio station since last March. From 3:00 – 6:00 p.m., he and guests discuss politics, life and all the fun things happening in Mississippi.

Marshall is also drives a Patty Peck Honda. He owns a Honda Odyssey and Honda CR-V. Last year during Christmastime, he came to us when he needed service completed on his vehicle. As a way of saying thank you, he gave us a drawing of Santa Claus flying over the dealership! He also contributes cartoons to various charities in the community.

Ramsey, a 10 year melanoma survivor, participates in Run From the Sun, a 5k run/walk in downtown Jackson. It’s in its 8th year and draws in thousands of racers every year. But his number one job is being a father–he has three children and enjoys spending time with them through hiking, playing football, enjoying the outdoors and attending their extracurricular activities.
