Honda Civic and Fit Hit the KBB “Coolest New Cars” List

Affordable transportation can be fashionable and cool. KELLY BLUE BOOK proves it with their annual “Top 10 Coolest New Cars under $18,000” list, which now includes the 2011 Honda fit and new 2012 Honda Civic. Editors select winners based on fair Purchase Price data (the amount customers typically pay) and “cool factor,” meaning “fun to drive” and “fun to own.”

KBB defines the Honda Fit as “fun, flexible and funky,” stating that it “remains an instantly unanimous choice for our annual cool cars list.” Noting some of the fit’s key attributes, the editors continued, “Every Fit has a cool back seat that flips and folds for max cargo versatility, plus the backing of Honda’s renowned reputation for reliability.” KBB also noted, “Even the crisper, better-equipped fit Sport comes in under our $18,000 ceiling.”

Describing the new Civic, KBB wrote, “Cool doesn’t always have to be in your face. Take the 2012 Honda Civic, for example. Its attributes read like a thought-out online dating profile: good looking but not flashy, low maintenance and easygoing…but happy to be your partner in crime for any adventure.” of course, this describes the entire Civic lineup. Then KBB concluded, “And like any good relationship, admiration for the Civic grows the more time you spend with it.” How cool is that!
