How To Use A USB Flash Drive In The 2012 Honda Civic

March 16th, 2012 by

The 2012 Honda Civic offers drives many ways to listen to their favorite tunes. One low cost way to listen is through the USB connector located in the Civic’s center console (not available on all models). This is great for those that don’t have a smart phone, iPod or other MP3 device as the USB flash drives are very inexpensive.

We asked Steve Hawkins, one of our top Honda Sales Consultants at Patty Peck Honda to demonstrate how to use the Civic USB connector and his flash drive that is loaded with music.

The Civic audio system reads and plays sound files on a USB flash drive in either MP3, WMA or AAC format. AAC format files only recorded with iTunes are playable on the Civic or other Honda model.

You will find more information in the 2012 Honda Civic Owners Manual on pages 145, 167-168 and 173.
