The Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi and Patty Peck Honda have teamed up for the past 25 years to help drive away diabetes in Mississippi. The annual Patty Peck Honda “Car for a Cure” Raffle drawing was held on Thursday, April 19, 2012, during the Ultimate Champagne Brunch and Fashion Show. This year Robert Johnson of Jackson was the lucky winner of this new 2012 Honda Civic LX Coupe.
This past Sunday many of Patty Peck Honda Employees met with Pastor Stephen Muhwezi as he told his incredible story of the work he has done in eastern Rwanda and the development of the schools. Founder and director of the Kamate Parent Primary School in Kamate, Rawanda and the Chosen Generation Vocational Training School in Zaza,Rwanda, Stephen Muhwezi is the Vice-Prsident of African Operations for Hearst For The World International.
Rankin County Parents, teachers and friends, it is your turn to win $500 for your school’s PTO. Together with Parents and Kids Magazine we created the Patty Peck Premier PTO Facebook Contest. In February, Ann Smith Elementary was our Madison County PTO winner receiving $500 for their PTO. In March Clinton Park Elementary was our Hinds County PTO winner receiving $500 for their PTO. Now we want to give $500 to a Rankin County PTO.

Every day across America women, men and children suffer the pain and trauma of sexual assault. From verbal harassment and intimidation to molestation and rape, this crime occurs far too frequently and goes unreported far too often. The month of April has been designated Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) in the United States. The goal is to raise public awareness about sexual violence and to educate communities and individuals on how to prevent sexual violence.
