Driving down the road and seeing dogs pop their head out the window isn’t unusual. But if you see a Honda Element riding through the streets with a horse trying to feel the wind, don’t be alarmed. That’s just Taco, the traveling therapy horse.
For the summer of 2010, Northpark Mall enlisted the help of Team Sandtastic to build a 50-ton sandcastle in center court. They began their handy work on July 6, 2010 and continued until July 12. Northpark was looking for something big to help kick off their Sandtastic Summer 2010 and what better way than have Team Sandtastic build a massive sandcastle. Local events such as ‘Hands in the Sand’ will be taking place at the sandcastle until it comes down on August 15, 2010. Below is a slide show of the sandcastle, although this isn’t the same as seeing it in person…so be sure to visit Northpark Mall before August 15!
Registration is open for the Run For Life Marathon & Half on October 9th in Madison, Mississippi. This is the second year Marathon Makeover has hosted a full marathon event (formerly the Marathon Makeover Marathon & Half). Winner of Patty Peck Honda’s annual “Car for a Cure” Giveaway is Doris Luke of Meridian, MS. This years car was a 2010 Honda Civic. The Patty Peck Honda Car for a Cure Giveaway is an annual fundraiser benefitting the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi DFM.
The Rumblin’ in Ridgeland Car and Bike Show will be held from April 17, 2010, 10 AM – 3 PM on the Holmes Community College Ridgeland Campus. Car and Bike Show benefiting Sunnybrook Children’s Home in Ridgeland, MS and Holmes’ Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society – just down the street from Patty Peck Honda on Sunnybrook Rd, Ridgeland MS.
Each year the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi teams up Patty Peck Honda in Ridgeland, MS to drive away diabetes in the “Car for a Cure” raffle. The winner receives a 2010 Honda Civic Coupe, courtesy of Patty Peck Honda.
